Trimane Analystics for Moodle is simple to operate: it will extract each week from an operative LMS underlying database significant "facts" bound to the user's activity and will process them and store them in "data cubes". Extracted facts are thus qualified using several criteria, organized in hierarchical axis providing multiple scales and "points of view" and allowing any crossing of all those dimensions. The product is a processing chains that provides an extractor (ETL : Extract Transform and Load) from the Pentaho open source distribution, stores results in an independant database (datawarehouse), and generates any kind of report addressed to a selection of users. The product allows setup, generation, and memorization of any kind of criteria combination, adding here or there constraints to focuss to a prticular area of the resultset. Making reports WILL NOT REQUIRE any special technical sill, but only a good comprehension of functional model of the LMS. The specific Moodle version installs easily, and provides a suitable extraction model mapped to main Moodle information.
